“Debate is a team, role-playing intellectual game, the essence of which is that the chosen teams reasonably prove the thesis proposed for discussion and others - oppose it.

As a game, the debate is democratic because it involves honesty, equality of opportunity, respect for the opponent, tolerance and, at the same time, critical thinking. Participation in debates, including educational ones, gives participants the opportunity to experience the benefits of this way of discussing discussion issues.

It is the duty of each team to be qualified and within a certain timeframe to present their position, their own arguments for or against. The game is evaluated by a judge or a panel of judges who determine the winner of the round. ”
